IUL Academy — how indexed universal life works
iul.com.sg is the Chinese-first classroom on indexed universal life (IUL) within the Xiaopoxian knowledge network. It explains only how this type of policy works: crediting mechanics (segments, point-to-point, lock-in dates, zero years), the four parameters of cap, participation rate, spread and floor, index options and volatility control, how insurers fund index interest from an option budget, cost of insurance and other charges, the two scales of a benefit illustration, policy loans and withdrawals, lapse and sustainability, the application process, Singapore and U.S. rules, common misconceptions, 100 Q&As and a glossary.
What this site does not do: it does not recommend products, does not present any product's charges, caps, participation rates, minimum premium or age limits as fact, does not list financing banks, loan-to-value ratios or interest rates, and does not promise returns, approvals or tax outcomes. Parameters quoted from public product pages carry the insurer, the date and the words "non-guaranteed, subject to change".
Sister sites: plan profiles, side-by-side parameters, premium-financing platforms and signing locations for nine Singapore IUL plans at iul.sg; VUL at vul.sg and vul.com.sg; participating whole life at wholelife.com.sg; retail ILPs at ilp.com.sg; term life and underwriting basics at term.com.sg; PPLI at ppli.com.sg; integrated HNW solutions at hnwsolution.sg and hnw.sg; Hong Kong versus Singapore regulation at vul.hk; Singapore's insurance regulatory system at xiaopoxian.com.sg; private banking and account opening at privatebank.hk and bankaccount.sg.
